crooked

my back is crooked.
neckbone connected to the ouch bone.

i have tried every pillow in my house, hot baths, yoga, anti-inflammatories.

i didn't play street hockey, or fall off my bike, or throw it out playing lightning twister.

i just woke up all funky.

i need a new chiropractor stat.

one that doesn't want me to commit to weekly visits (i fear commitment)
but understands that i only need adjusted when i'm out of whack.

one that doesn't shake me & throw me into things.
someone that understands how the spine is connected to the nervous system would be nice.

um..if you wanna go to denton my guy is great...but what i can do is ask him for some people that he knows around you.

now..he did hav me come in twice weekly for a few months but now i just go when...i'm out of whack..or just once a month...month and a half..but ...simce i'm about to be fired it might be more sporadic

oh do you do the sleeping with a pillow betwen the knees?? not much help but it helps me sometimes..and if you go to the natural food store ask for topicl arnica..it's a natural herb you'll apply it helps to take the stifness out of my back on bad days (apply at night) wake up feeling better.

hmmm. i do sleep with a knee pillow. course i'm not really sleeping since i got crooked.

i'll try that herb. but if he suggests someone closer that would be great.

its just scary to trust someone with manipulating your SPINE.

My back and neck are all messed up. I was in a car accident on Friday, and I think I am needing to go the the chiropractor.

if you just had the wreck you can't go direct to the chiropractor. you have to let your bruising heal first (even the bruises you can't see).

they can't really do anything for you yet. just take it easy and try not to take every pill your md gives you. definitely eat anytime you take meds. really hard on the tummy.

taking a walk really helps put things back in place a little bit. gets things where they need to be... fall into place so to speak.

drink LOTS of water to flush the knots out of your back.

and sleep... precious precious sleep.

My chiropractor is really cool< i have made him lots of money over the past 10 years with me getting hit by other cars.

All I am going to do tomorrow is x-rays and paperwork. He usually waits till the second or third visit to adjust me, but I still get to do the electro therapy. He also doesn't give me pills, but thats ok with me.

I feel you on the whole spine manipulation bit. ARe you from the general north dallas area??

The guy i go to is a D.C he does his adjustments on a chair..and usually before you go in you'll do cervical pulls, and some other excercises...massae included..then he sends you to the back..you lie on the mechanical bed thingy...pop pop...

and if something won't budge he's NEVER forced it...he just tries again when i come in another time.

My chiro is great and he does ART- Deep muscle release- too. OH, and he's HOT. I call him... Dr. Hunk. It helps that he has done a couple of Ironmans and even placed to make it to race at Kona *swoon*.

art sounds divine. my old chiro set a pretty high bar. he did active muscle release too. and he took very good care of his own body.

not that i have to have a pretty boy work my body...

but with all the yoga i do, strength & flexibility make it difficult to adjust me. i don't know if a mechanical bed thingee would be enough to make it happen.

i'm not sure if it was his physical strength or understanding of anatomy/nervous system that really made him so amazing. but i sure do miss him.

i ought to send him a xmas card.

On a serious note, sorry to hear about your back. I get these random aches in my left knee and I've never injured it. I hate feeling like I'm falling apart in my young age!
