![]() | confusion pc to hdtv hookup
Ok so I thought this would be fairly simple. Video card on pc has DVI-I dual link out I hook up my dvi to hdmi cable running from my pc to the hdmi 1 port on the television and I get nothing. Do I have to change the resolution of my display on my pc to match up with the tv or what? suggestions, tips, experience?

You have to change your setting in Bios, to non-vga on your pc. And disable any other video cards that you are not using. Make sure your tv is set to correct input and res or it will not work. also in bios change your hrtz settings that fits your tv |

I now dread buying a new fancy TV. This sounds like it could be complicated. DVI-I, HDMI, MIDI, XLR.... why the hell are there so many cables/inputs/outputs these days? I'm going to miss the easy days of coax cables.... *Plug in* *Plug in* *Turn on* *Watch TV* Now it sound like *Plug in* *Get Adapter* *Plug In* *Change Settings* *Reload Drivers* *Change cable* *Plug In Again* *Change Settings* *Curse that is doesn't work* *Drink a beer and call someone who knows what hell they're doing* |
