Fuck. I turned it on 12-3-07. If I recall correctly... they were STILL waiting on parts until 12-19-07.

It's now 12-27-07... and they are telling me it MIGHT be done by 1-4-08... MAYBE.

My rental car coverage runs out 1-7-08. After that I pay $25 a day for a rental car.

Fuck. They need to finish my fucking car. Man, I wished they would have just totalled the bitch out so I could have just gone and bought a new car. This totally blows considering the wreck wasn't even my fault.

Damn that's a long time.

I cut this mans hair the other day and I asked him what he did for a living. He told me that his father owned service king. Damn I didn't know they were family owned but I guess so.

that's fucked. I rear-ended someone on the 15th, dropped my truck off at woodard's body shop (a la juandingo's suggestion, thx btw) on the 19th and it was ready on the 21st. granted it was mostly replacing the bumper, but still. taking a month to fix a car sounds like a LONG time.

I got in a wreck around the same time last year, it took about 3 weeks for them to get it back to me as well. The last wreck I was just in was the same, 3 weeks....and I still had to take it back for them to fix some minor things. 2 wrecks in less than a year is no fun. At least only 1 was my fault.

When it comes to auto repair I stay the hell away from cooperate chains and ask around for local shops. Expecting to get a quality repair job out of service king is on par with expecting to get a quality home cooked meal at Mc Donalds.

OH man... now I'm worried my car is not going be fixed properly when I DO get it back.

I went there because it was a preferred place with my insurance company. I just had to the car in a shop.

Hopefully my friend who builds cars can come with me when I have to pick it up. He will be able to tell if they didn't fix it properly.

But yea... if they had gotten the parts when they needed to... it should have been quicker. Of course, there was a lot of damage done. Way more than just a bumper.

Fight it out with your insurance company, especially since you said they're the ones that referred you to Service King. Plus since the wreck wasn't your fault I'm willing to be they'll pick up the extra charges for the rental car should it go past the 1/7/08 date.
