use capital letters in a filename! - my boss says so!

remember me telling you guys about my new supervisor that started here, took my cubical and now I share a cube with the secretary? Well apparently this dude has been rude since the day he started.

his first day he hands a book full of corrections for me to do for the 1st round of corrections (this is pretty normal, no big deal). He circled a word in one of the documents he wanted me to delete that I must have overlooked through all of the other corrections I made. He came back with his 2nd round of corrections with shit he never saw in the first place or things he changed his mind about (again, completely normal, no big deal.) But he has the nerve to point out that deletion word and say, "This is the 2nd round on this one....PAY ATTENTION" - that was his first day.

that was a week ago, he's been rude still, but nothing to really stand out. But he wanted me to pdf a flyer I made and email it to him. The flyer was for an apartment complex called The Arbor at Tallwood. So the filename was arbortallwood_flyer.pdf. And I emailed it to him. This is the response I got from him:

For future reference, capitalize the property name in the file (so it reads just like your email subject line). Lower case is unprofessional and we want our clients to know that their property and their business is very important to us, so they need to receive the respect they deserve.

First of all, i wasn't aware he was sending it to a client. Second of all, dude...it's a file name, not the title on the actual flyer. I've always lower cased my filenames, everything on the server is in lowercase...wtf.
I'll capitalize his face...yeah...that'll teach him. hmph

It's been ticking for the past 6 months - BIG TIME

I've been freaking out over my portfolio. I opened up the book to my portfolio so I could prepare it for a new job - but all the pages and everything had been taken out. I have no idea what the hell happened to it, and why would i or anyone else take the pages out. All of the shit I did for Nokia, CompUSA and more are all gone. That's like my whole career missing, and I feel like I would need to start all over again. That's the reason why I haven't gone to find a new job.

I just know it's with my ex husbands stuff. There's no other place it could be.

Tell him to take a technical writing class. You should not use ALL CAPS. That is a #1 rule.
