if you voted in the Dem primary then you saw 6 names or so... including Bill Richardson, Joe Biden, John Edwards, and there was one more that I can't remember... on top of Clinton and Obama. I asked them why they were still on the ballot and nobody there knew the answer.

that's easy. they were running and had the not from the Democratic Party to be on the ballot. they were still running when the stuff was printed.

I voted in Grapevine and they only had Clinton and Obama on the Ballot.

Seems weird that some places put them on the screen and others didn't.

I mean look it's just common sense. If your area or city is comprised mostly of blue collar jobs/workers and the main priority of that community isn't on education or learning then the average IQ rate isn't going to be extremely high.

That's not to say that those people are less deserving of the educated or rich when it comes to leading good lives. It does mean their decision making may be dictated by social norms or a sort of communal consensus as opposed to critical thinking.

People don't have time for ideology and skepticism when it comes to struggling for survival. This is why our main area of focus should be in empowering the poor and working class. That means providing them w/ better education and a means by which to live comfortably so that they might further enrich their lives w/ learning, discovery, creation etc.

Now here's where it comes down to it. Texas is a prime example of blue collar empathy outside it's capitol city and parts of Dallas and Houston. These people are disenfranchised and shaken by fear. Fear that is only amplified by this state's religious and conservative base.

Only through education and a consistent learning process will these voters change and embrace change or find a truly solidified and justified reason for their resistance towards change.

No matter which way their belief system swings, an educated voting block is much better for everyone in the long run.

You've got the synopsis right, but it's tough to change the story you just told. Texas is "Good ol' boy" down to its core and would fight teeth and nails to keep things the way they are throughout most of its current communities.
