i love how 95% of the bars in dallas that have opened in the past year (and the dozen or so due this year) are 'ultralounges'

give me a fucking break already.

some blue led lighting, white sheets, and bottle service doesnt make you an 'ultralounge'

and honestly... its shows like the justice performance last night that really show that dallas is so far behind the curve its not even funny.

Ultra Lounges are becoming a thing of the past. That shift is already happening across the USA. I personally think you are going to see a lot more "pubs" coming, the ultra lounges that can hold themselves down will be here (Candle, Lotus, etc.), but many are going to start fading away. Bar sales are already showing that.

lol how about a mega lounge or super bar maybe an awesome bar and grille would be the newest coolest thing ever.

I've only been to one ultralounge. I can't even remember which one it was now. It was on Greenville somewhere. Soooo boring. Nothing but cheese as far as the eye could see.

Eh, I don't care what the place is called.

if the vibe is good, that's all that counts.

But if anything was gonna be called a "ultralounge" it would be Minc, it's 100x bigger than any other lounge and has been called a "Lounge" since it's opening in 2003.

I like the establishments that call themselves "Ultralounges" that have tons of roid heads fighting, shitty bathrooms, girls with blunt breathe, and VIP rooms with fat girls eating each others booty holes.. Not to mention the guys running around with rockstar clothing and make-up, who dont even know how to play an instrument..


The only place I had a good time in, and found digestible, was Suite.
