large growth on his back foot turned out to be cancerous. he's having a chest x-ray either in the next couple days or first thing next week to see if its matastasized. at the very least, they are going to try to remove the tumor on his foot and considering the spot its in, they might only be able to amputate his leg. this blows.

Damn that sucks, sorry to hear it. Do some searching around and see if you can find a vet that has accesss to real oncology hookups. We have a kitty that had a huge cancerous tumor removed from his belly followed by months of kitty chemo. Three years later now and he is a happy healthy critter again, there is hope for pet cancer these days.
