I cant stand any smoking inside the crib.. but in my damn room, on my pc, when I'm gone, fuckin irritates me to no end...

I'm looking to cancel my agreement and move. That's bullshit

Dude, I completely feel you on that... my old roommate used to smoke inside, and after I kicked him out it was also evident that he burned a few holes in the carpet and punched 2 holes in my walls.

Too bad he moved to New Mexico making it damn near impossible to sue him.

Oh, and ALWAYS get a lock for your door if you have a roommate.

Maybe, but I shouldnt have to. What boggles me is, I can completely refrain from doing something like, and yet I cant get the same in return. This after I took a half day off work to do the person a huge favor last week..

Well, sometimes people are just disrespectful of other peoples property/space.... unfortunately there is no way to know until you live with them.

I had never had a roommate, or even considered having one, up until recently and I have had no problems at all. It's actually a nice change from living alone for so long. Everyone I talked to had always said, "Don't move in with your bestfriend. You'll only end up hating eachother."

Granted, I have only lived with my roommate/bestfriend for 2 months, but I have had absolutely no problems living with him. We always knock on eachothers door before going in and respect eachothers privacy.

I'm sure things could do a 180 and it could turn into a nightmare, but I really don't see that happening. I couldn't imagine living with someone that got on my last nerve.

That had already been established as one of the rules.. "No smoking in the house period". Him smoking in my room, of all places, tells me he has no consideration to what I might say..

Yuck. Smoking is gross and it stinks everything up. I have found though, that smokers don't always really care about where they smoke... unless it's illegal. Honestly, they are addicted, and it doesn't bother them... so they don't understand how it bothers other people.

My ex was a smoker and he would smoke in my car when he drove it. Even though he knew I hated it. He would also smoke in the house when I wasn't around. I caught him quick and he did stop that amazingly enough.

My Mom is a chain smoker... and when we stay at her house she goes in her room to smoke, to be nice. But yea... it goes through the air vents. So we have to deal or stay at a hotel. Of course she wonders why we don't visit. Well, let's see, we can't afford a hotel and your smoking like a chimney in the house is suffocating.

You need a roommate who is a non-smoker. Problem fixed.

those are just trashy people. i know lots of smokers that have never smoked in their car or house.
