 | Not hitting mute before saying "son of a bitch!" while on a service desk call (SFW)
My boss is okay with it, but now im all worried that the person that heard me is going to go to her boss, who is actually my bosses boss... (confusing i know, but it makes sense from an outsourcing stand point) The lady seemed understanding and even joked about it a little bit but if she mentions it even in passing to her boss im going to be in a load of trouble. :-/

bwwhhahahahaa it happens. i'd love to hear the whole story. i said "fuckin bitch" to a customer in my last job. my boss totally backed me up. she said, "eh, you told her what everyone else has been scared to say. the truth hurts, deal with it." i loved that boss.

were you saying "son of a bitch" in response to something the customer did? or said? or was it kindof a mutually "son of a bitch" scenario that she would understand? were you calling her a son of a bitch? cuz that would be lame.

My Mute button is my only saving grace around here, well that and flipping off the phone. Although we found out last year that the training group that monitors our calls can still hear what we say on the recording regaurdless if we are on mute or not

Actually i said it because corner bakery put mayo on my sammich instead of mustard. Mayo makes me vomit. I said something to the effect of "son of a bitch they are always wrong" and she said "ummm.. i hope you werent talking to me" I apologized profusely after regaining my bearings and she laughed it off and said that her computer makes her say that too. Our recordings cant hear when we use mute because the mute button is built into my headset

oh well, you should be fine. you weren't actually bitching about her, so unless you work for some giant conservative southern baptist company (?!) then you won't lose your job. this coming from the person who worked in an office for two months of her life. don't listen to a word i say, i obviously have no idea what i'm talking about.
