I hate this girl.

My roommate is a complete bitch.

Two years ago, she called me crying and homeless, and ended up staying with me for months for FREE. I fed her, clothed her, gave her rides to places, even hooked her up with an on-call job at my work.

She moved in with her mom, got her illegitimate kiddo back and started dating this guy who she still hasn't had sex with, even though right before she met him she slept with 3 different guys in one week. This is because of her newfound "Christianity".

So she posed the idea that we live together, since we work together and I drive her to work anyway. I end up breaking my lease to move into a two-bedroom apartment with her & her kid back in November. AND I HAVE BEEN REGRETTING IT EVER SINCE.

My latest tiff with this girl is the way she sent me a text on Friday after I left to go to Sam's saying "OMG. You left ALL your dirty dishes in the sink. I'm putting them in your room!" To this I politely respond "I ran the dishwasher, there wasn't enough room for all of them." Then I get a two-part text saying something along the lines of "Whatever. I ran the dishwasher this morning. You could have at least washed your shit by hand. This is not the first time this has happened. Now I have to deal with dishes with shit stuck on them!" To this I did not respond because, in my mind, there is no winning with the roommate. She is not logical or forgiving.

I know the situation sounds petty, but this type of thing happens all the time. Sometimes, I just want to say "Look, all this shit you're using is mine, so please respect me and my possessions by leaving me the fuck alone. I do not need your approval to use a dish. I do not need for you to stay up with your boyfriend on MY couches watching tv when I'm trying to sleep in the next room. I do not need your kid bothering me while you talk on your phone and ignore her. Fuck you, go away."

She is catty, and it's turning me bitter. I need to get out soon to save my sanity. Maybe I can get her fired from work. Nobody there likes her anyway....

JK. Sounds like it's a shitty situation, and although she totally takes advantage of you, I think you should be the bigger person here and just not let her get to you until you can move out.

Is the apartment lease in both of your names? If so, is finding someone to take over the lease an option?

That would be the ultimate payback. I should definitely tell the apartment people that I want to move out and pay a reletting fee...then they can replace me with some random person who the roomie will hate. I know this because she hates everyone.

I know the situation isn't the same, but I had to rid my life of people like this once before. Total leech that sucked me dry and never put any effort in to doing something better for herself and her kid. I loved them both but I fired their asses out of my house. Within 24 hours of putting them out my life got instantly better.
