JUST DIED! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() they are going to send me a new one in 2 weeks, and then they told me to start plugging it directly into the wall outlet, which i've never heard of before. AND they told me start using the intercooler. i'm confused, i thought those were bad things to do, anyone heard different?

all computers and nice electronic gear needs to be plugged into a surge protector. it seems like they are just saying the opposite of what you did do rather than the correct thing to do. sucks.. i went thru 7 of them. ps3 now FTW!

i am going to get a ps3, but mainly for the blue-ray player. not enough games that i am interested in. i've had my box for over a year and never had any problems until today. funny thing is, i tried to turn it back on(while plugged to the protector), nothing happened. then when i called they had me plug into the wall, and it loaded straight to my dash board. then when i turned it off and on again it died again. but what gets me is i've heard stories of the intercooler causing the box to overheat, and they tell me start using one. then of course they suckered me into extending my warranty cause im so mad about my box being broken. AAAARGGGGHHHHHH. i just love technology!

wtf how crazy last night ours had the red ring for a minute then it went off.. wtf!!! were you supposed to buy a warranty or do they repair them for a price? im curious cuz when i bought it, i was like like in super shop mode and grabbed it and the controller and games and left. i didnt even ask about that or anything and after last nights scare, i WILL NOT buy another for full price. guess i fucked up and dont use the cooler?! shit

i dont think i ever sent in my warranty info. to them, but they are going to replace it anyhoo, no charge and no cost for shipping. i don't care what that lady told me i will NOT use an intercooler( too many bad stories), and i will always plug my stuff into a surge protector. the only thing that i paid for was to extend my warranty. 32.42 for another year and that covers the box, controllers and all accessories. if ya need to call them the no. is 1-800-4MY-XBOX

I submerge mine completely in ice while it's in use.
