you sure it was a yellow jacket?

those things are about 2-3 inches long i believe and can repeatedly sting you, it also feels like a .22 cal

I don't know about 2-3 inches long, but yellow jackets do typically sting you several times unlike a bee.

And yes it was HUGE. I swung my arm around as I yelped and saw this massive insect fall to the ground. Looked like a bird!
