Idiots on ebay!

If you didn't know it, a good tip for ebay is to check the bid history. If you see lots of names that are all just variation of each other, its not a coincidence. Its the seller on another account(s) bumping the price up.

So I put in a "fair" bid for a used item, and then the seller starts jacking up the price with all these different accounts. I figure fine, fuck him. He will have to pay the ebay fee and relist the item. Then some savvy shopper comes in at the last minute and buys the item.

I'm not sad about lose the auction. I'm mad because if people its causing inflation to the item I want to buy. Bid smart and make it a buyers market, pls. Ebay just isn't what it once was. You could get stuff for cheap. Now so many people have turned buying and selling your shit into a business. It was a lot better when ebay was person to person selling. Or you could buy dutch lots of shit.

Thats horseshit Im head of Ebay sales for a major appliance surplus company here in Dallas and I can for sure tell you that if you make bunk accounts on ebay to bid your auctions up your account will be deleted and pretty much wont be able to sale on there again

I've helped bump up my friends items before and they've helped me bump up mine. Sure it's shady, but it's nice to make people pay their max bid when you are the seller

Your friend maybe helped you but you didnt make fake id's to bid the item up thats totally diff . Ebay is a multi billion dollar corp they have fraud teams and shit like that.

See, I never found stuff on eBay to be cheap.

Whatever I have found on eBay ended up being about as much as something new thanks to the auctions going up and up.

Well then they are doing it wrong.

Clearly they should be smarter than try to use the same IP with multiple accounts (one being a ghost account with no bids) to try and bid up their item.

That's just ignorance.

i hate ebay, too. i wish there was a way to adjust the prices to account for the cost of living index for your geographic area. for a person in new york, $100 for an item might be a steal. whereas, to a person living here in dallas it's expensive.
