![]() ![]() | Quitting My Volunteer Organization
I loved helping out the animals, but got tired of the cuntiness of some of the people. FUCK YOU, I'M OUT! I hope you enjoyed the email that I copied everyone on.

Yeah, I've noticed that a lot of people who are like fanatical about taking care of animals are enormous cunts, Sarah excluded of course. I wonder why that is.

![]() ![]() | OK, here it is. Essentially, I had a foster and he got sick, so I took him to my vet. She sent me an email yesterady and one today, bitching how I could have killed him by taking him to a different vet. Enjoy! First, I let your shitty email that you sent yesterday slide and ignored it, so with that read ahead: Second, if you send emails, like the two you have sent to me, around your office, it is no shock that you are losing your current job. Third, I called Frankford and got Rocco's records and faxed them myself to City Vet, so I am not sure why you spent half a day calling for them. You should have just emailed me. Besides, I told City Vet his past medical history when I got there, so they were aware of his HW (they also have seen him before, as he was in their files). In any case, his condition had nothing to do with his HW, which is what I suspected. Rocco has hookworm and an upset stomach from allergies. I am treating him for this. Fourth, I have been fostering and rehabbing animals for 7 years now, Misty is certified to rehab small wildlife, and we know what we what the fuck we are doing. Fifth, The reason I took Rocco to City Vet is because I know and trust them, they are the best in town, and my cat has a feeding tube and was having complications, so I had to take her in and figured that Rocco would benefit from immediate medical attention, rather than me driving an hour in traffic to get to Frankford. So, if PITC is more concerned about where we take the animals than a possible medical emergency, then I really don't want to be a part of said organization. Please, feel free to send me the bill. And from what I understand Cathi is as socially inept as you and fails to communicate effectively with others, which may be the primary reason why some of our relationships with reputable vets and/or boarding facilities have become strained. Sixth, I spent two hours cleaning up a nasty, hershey-like diarrhea mess last night from Rocco and to read an email like this for the second day in a row from a member of an organization that I volunteer for is bullshit. Seventh, I could go on, but why not get to the point of the title? I am DONE with my position as Volunteer Coordinator effective immediately. I will foster Rocco until he has a home and am willing to help out at adoption events, dj any of the fund raisers, but I am no longer interested in being part of this bureaucracy. If you like I can schedule Rocco at Frankford for his next round of HW treatment next or PITC can. Just let me know. Also, let me know where to forward all future volunteer inqueries. Thanks and have a great day!

City Vet does rock! They're awesome... they've helped/are helping my with my FIV kitty. The only Vet that had given me any kind of hope & support. I don't understand why this "organization" would have you take him/her way across town when this place is (im assuming) closer to you?! wow, you'd think they would be in praise of you for taking the initiative to handle it the way you see fit. I dunno... but, good for you! You guys sound fantastic!!

lots of animal lovers like their pets better than people & will tell you that. what they don't realize is the psychology behind why they would prefer a creature that doesn't talk back, never tells them they are wrong and does not ask for a second opinion. getting along with people is a lot harder then getting along with a furry thing that doesn't speak english and is thrilled to see you show up every day with their meal. the creepy bit is where after a long time of isolating themselves from human interaction, they start personifying their pets. they pretend the animal has human characteristics (smiles, need for clothing, etc) when really they are just projecting that on the pet since they still desire human interaction even though they resist the real thing.

![]() ![]() | Considering that type of behavior is normal with the group, I figured it would go over well. I had only one disending response claiming I was out of line, so I responded that she could "applaud me being an asshole today, as she seems to enjoy or at least tolerate the type of behavior." Maybe I'll post that response. lolz. I keep getting personal emails, saying thanks and that they wished they would have said this. Truth hurtz y0!

![]() ![]() | This was my response to someone claiming that we need to applaud the person for all their work and forget her being a cunt on more than one occasion. What we have a couple of volunteers that suck and people let them act like assholes all the time, which has unltimately hurt our relations with other supporting groups/vets/boarding facilities. Hopefully, the group will start to look at the bigger picture, especially after a few other key people leave. Stresed out? I have ten animals at my house, four of which are fosters, and a cat so stressed out that we have to have a feeding tube surgucally implanted in her neck and must be syringe fed. There is plenty of stress to go around, but I didn't send it out, until provoked twice. One bad day is fine, two I am not putting up with in a volunteer organization, after I solved the problem. Allowing these types behaviors to persist is only adding poison to the well. And wake up and smell the coffee, I am not the only who feels this way. Besides, wasn't my predecessor asked to step down for these types of poor social skills? Perhaps this is the source of why so many people are "bailing," as you put it. So feel free to "applaud" me being an asshole today, as you seem to enjoy or at least tolerate being treated that way. The only reason I copied people to this was to share my honest feelings, which aren't solitary, and explain my abrupt departure. I will politely answer any volunteer emails/calls until you find someone else. Let me know, if I need to schedule Rocco at Frankford. Again, have a great day, Joel
