Well learn how to make your "meals" more "snack-like" and you'll lose that weight you want without running OR smoking crack. It's really easy. And quit drinking soda, soda makes your stomach feel less full, so then you end up eating more than you normally would, if you were drinking water.

I know you "don't want to" change your diet, but if you don't you'll just end up rolling around like a beanbag with feet sooner or later. You looked good in your early twenties, weight wise, but your body has changed and now you have to adjust with it. You can't eat the same way you used to. ANd working out (running), isn't going to do shit but get rid of your water weight, and you'll plateau, then get stuck. You'll see. Just take my word for it. Start eating different.

None of my friends or BOYFRIEND told me i was getting "bigger". So i kept eating bad, and not being active. Hang'in out & smoking alot of herb.

Then one day i decided i wanted to do more with my career and have a happy, healthy life. I took action, got moving (slowly). Now im down to 119! woo hoo!

I understand why people gain weight, and i feel for those people. But letting it go over two years is LAZY. Im lazy, and i did it! lol

It is all what u really care about. If u want something really bad, u will find a way to get it.
Seriously, no one is going to go up to anyone and say, "WOW! You have gained a lot of weight!" And your boyfriend is sure as hell not going to do that.

The theory is that the person knows they have gained weight, and you telling them really isn't going to help the situation. It will just make the person who has gained weight feel like shit, and then you become the asshole who called them fat.

But good for you recognizing why you gained weight and taking control of getting it back down. It's a lot easier to lose 10-20 pounds than it is to lose 50-100 pounds.

Otherwise, I feel very sorry for people who are 100-200-300 pounds OVER their IDEAL body weight. Obviously these people have some mental and food issues they are dealing with. Just telling them to exercise and to stop eating isn't going to fix the issue.

Yes, there are people who have genetics working against them. But come on, a majority of the US society is not fat because of genetics. Some of them, but not all of them. Obviously, some people just eat too much and don't get enough physical activity.

As a society we should care about obese people, and especially obese kids. Someone who is obese taxes the public and private health care systems more... our insurance rates go up... and ultimately, as a society, our life expectancy will go down because of diseases related to obesity.

Kids today are so obese, they are saying that many of them will have serious diseases early in life... and thus will die young. That's so sad! We have figured out ways to live until we are 80-90-100 years old.... and now we are killing ourselves with fast food.

Anyways... there are so many factors that come into play when someone is morbidly obese. There really isn't an easy answer as to how they got that way and why they stay that way. I just find it sad when those parents pass their eating habits to their kids, and their kids have diabetes at a young age.

It does help, but diet does play a huge role.

Look at me, I do an average of 12 hours of cardio a week. I have lost a total of like 2 pounds. SERIOUSLY! It's because I'm not eating a really clean diet.

So yea, lots of exercise, but I'm not certainly not skinny. Healthy, but not thin. Then again, I do have some amazing thighs right now.

If all a person lost was water weight by working out, then NO-ONE in the world would ever exercise.

I didn't say that. I said Running. And I was talking specifically to Eric who doesn't do any other form of working out, besides running, when it over 110 degrees outside, because he seems to think that the hotter it is, the more weight he will lose. And that is what his work out regemine consists of. Running till that water weight is gone.

Me too. If they substituted candy and junkfood with say fruit or vegetables, that would help worlds. Or if they had enough confidence and control to say "no" to their kids when they demand certain foods, or when the kid refuses to eat healthy, and the parents just roll over and say "oh well, okay! Here you can have this fried chicken instead" ... it's so bleh. My step mom is guilty of that. My little brother eats nothing but chicken nuggets and french fries. I told her to quit feeding him that and to say NO to him, and she says "oh but then he refuses to eat anything else, I don't want him to starve" newsflash, he's not going to starve himself to death if he cant get his chicken nuggies. lol.

I saw on tv once, this babysitting reality show, about overweight kids or something, and these parents had a closet FULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL OF JUNK FOOD AND CANDY. I was so disgusted.

That is NOT PARENTING.

umm i do more than just running robin.

i do crunches, jumping jacks and pushups.

most of my work out consist of cardio, and how did i lose 20-30 pounds in about 2 months then??

if only running doesn't help you lose weight.

i did however cut a lot of beer and fast food out of my diet as well.

Well that's good. 100 or so before your cardio is great. But if you don't watch your calories it's all for nothing.

I've fluctuated a lot over the past 3-ish years. There would be periods where I was really into having a schedule of going to the gym, tanning, etc etc... some metro type shit for a while. I was down to 230 and happy with that. I have a big frame and 230 I am fine with.... a linebacker or something. And I wasn't drinking. At all.

Now I drink and party a lot and I have zero exercise. I eat what I want, but not like Golden Corral buffet shit or anything. Nothing terribly bad... nothing that great either. I only eat fast food maybe once a week. Otherwise I am eating sandwiches and chips and random hot pockets or something. But this has gone on for a while and I've gained maybe 50 pounds over the last year so yeah I am at 300 now lol.

I keep saying I am going to change some stuff... I definitely avoid beer and other little things, but I still lack an exercise routine. Occasionally I will go jog like once every 3 weeks or some shit. Its ridiculous.

I think it would help if there was someone to go do stuff like that with... I dunno.

shrug
