the dude was growing on me there for a minute....and he was gaining my respect...but now i feel like im being flooded by him and his shit...i still dig the cat tho. hes doin his thing and i really cant hate...i just wish they would stop exposing him...

he's not that bad, i think most people just wonder how he became considered the greatest. I mean it kinda goes(while others could be considered) melle mell-ll cool j-big daddy kane-ice cube-snoop dogg-tupac-nas-biggie-jay z-, and now you have lil wayne. It just seems wayne is not really even in their class, just maybe style. the production is cool, but its really pretty simple too. To me it seems that his whole style is just to simple and unfinished to recieve too much props. although i'll play prolly 5 songs by him tonite.

yeah i deleted my original since i thought it was in the wrong forum to post. i think he is a few years still off before his flow really has something tangible to me imho. i find other cats way too interesting musically and lyrically. as far as the chamillionaire track, there is a million cats that can and have dropped verses in minutes upon hearing the track. we could have a useless hiphop factoid and go that route. shit i think infamous truth out of dallas could hop on and kill it with anything wayne does. oversaturation is just what stagnates musical movements and i cant stand many cats as a result. bone thugs is a perfect example back in the 90's. record sales dont really mean shit to me since they are still trying to rework the model of what truly is successful in the way of an artist being commercially successful. i just said the dude aint doin it for me and never has. cept for this freestyle he did on some dvd magazine back in 05 i think. fucked out of his mind but kicked a sick mental freestyle. i had hope then but since been distinguished.

Best track that I can think of that Lil Wayne was on, was Hope You Niggas Sleep from Biggies Born Again cd.... Biggie ripped that track too..

| Here is the good news. For all those who despise lil wayne, hes caught 4 cases. Two in the City of NYC, and two in Arizonia, Im pretty sure, Arizonia, will probally give him the electric chair or at min life. Dmx and him can do a behind bars lp. Dmx can tell him him about the good old day when he used to be on every song on the radio.
