Cant post from my regular account because Im sick of clubplanet selling my e-mail add

My regular account is locked out of DDM because of my e-mail. So now I can only use my troll account. Do they not understand that most of us changed our e-mails to non working accounts because we got sick of the spam. I understand that Club Plant allows us to opt out of DDM mailings, they even let us opt out of annoying club planet "HEY BE A DOUCHEBAG LIKE US A HANG AT THE ASSHOLE FACTORY THIS NEW YEARS" e-mails.

Thats all fine an dandy but the problem is all of the other spammers that club planet sells the e-mail list to. If I dont want e-mail from DDM, or club planet why the hell do they think that I want them to sell my name and e-mail to every slimball club owner and dickwad promoter in the country? Why should those of us that have been posting on this site daily for the last 7 years need to provide an e-mail to verify that we are real?

Think its all resolved now, have all my club planet spam funneled into crap accounts again and my regular DDM account is working again thanks to Tim.

As shitty as club planet is at least we still have good mods on DDM.

Weird. I don't think I have ever gotten a spam or email from DDM or Club Planet aside from the 'you have a new private message' emails. And I stopped those as well.

You can turn off the e-mail from club planet, but they still sell your address to other spammers. Set up a brand new clean e-mail address, give the address to no one and sign up for DDM, choose all the options to recieve no e-mail.

By the end of the week you will have assorted mail from PraugeNightclub, superVIP, and other assorted club/party related junk mail. Sure none of it comes from club planet or DDM, but it does come from the spammers that pay them for the e-mail list.

i used a private email that i have separate from my spam arrest account and i can assure you that CP didn't sell mine, because i don't get any spam on it at all. must have been something else that got your email addy.

Club Planet is owed by Track Entertianment. Track Entertainment actively promotes and offers to sell its e-mail database on several marketing insider websites. I have seen offers for "club targeted e-mail lists" from Track Entertainment on several of the marketing sites that our company frequents. Hell they even offer to sell the list directly on many of their own sites:

that's weird... i have a .mac account (for years) and have aliases that i can turn on and off at the flick of a switch and have the CP stuff coming to one of those. it doesn't get any spam and hasn't for years. prolly 5 in the last 3-4 years and i'm chalking those up to random email generators.

I think the spam filters on your service have a lot to do with it. My Gmail account filters out about 99% of it. I have an e-mail account that runs through my own server so it has no spam filter and its slammed with at least 2-3 club related e-mails a day. Since DDM is the only place that I have ever used that e-mail in public its not that hard to figure out the source.

i use the regular osx mail and the junk mail is still shown. i have an alias that is only registered with CP. i also have opted out of any emails from them. you may have had that turned on for a bit before they sold your email to a company that met the terms of the agreement. all i'm saying is that i don't get anything in that email box except ddm'ers crying over spilled milk.
