Fucking Hurricane
I have a meeting in corpus tomorrow at 11am, weather channel says that a hurricane will be hitting Corpus at 10am. Just called the client, he says....."they are almost always wrong, come down anyway because the meeting will not be canceled unless they issue a mandatory evacuation."

Fucking A...sounds like Im driving down to hurricane country tonight.

Driving? Not that you would want to, but why not fly into Corpus via SW? I can only assume that you want the ability to leave on your own terms instead of being trapped there for a few days, eh?

You don't want to drive, the rain is going to be the bad part.

"Conditions are expected to deteriorate tonight over far south Texas as the center of Dolly moves closer to the coast. The worst conditions will likely be near the Brownsville area, including S. Padre Island, and in neighboring parts of Mexico.

The main impact from Dolly will certainly be heavy rainfall which will begin tonight and last through tomorrow. Forecast amounts are expected to be in the 5 to 10 inch range in locations south of Corpus Christi through Brownsville and into northern Mexico. A few spots, especially in the northern Mexican mountains, could get as much as 15. "

That's shitty you have to drive down there in that weather.

Though they say it's not supposed to get stronger than a category 1, 70 mph winds. There were winds close to that during dust storms in Lubbock. I also read they wouldn't have a mandatory evac unless it grew to a Cat 3, so you're outta luck there too.

Just be careful not to drive through any deep water lol...
