Lymph Nodes are freaky

I am pretty sure I have an enlarged lymph node in my neck for some reason, that or it is cancer. It is really freaky.....

Go get it checked ASAP. If you smoke or ever have smoked that could be carcinoma. If it is they have a limited amount of time to remove it before it can spread through the lymph nodes into your pulmonary system. Then you have real problems that could kill you. If they catch them when they are small you can get it cut out and you will be just fine by the end of the day.

My wifes mom had a little tiny bump under her tongue that she ignored for a couple years, one day it it doubled in size overnight. She got it checked and it turned out to be Carcinoma, they had to cut about 1/4 of her tongue off. They said that if it had been in the back of her throat or in her lymph nodes it may have killed her if she had waited that long to get it checked.

Yeah I thought about that too. If in a couple of days it isn't better I will go to an ear nose and throat guy...
I am thinking it could just be some weird allergy drainage or something.

If it stays swollen for more than a week, go to the doctor. When I was a kid I had one that stayed swollen for two weeks; it turned out it was infected and I had to have it removed.

it could be anything. I had a breakout of acne on my chin not too long ago and my lymph nodes swelled because of it. its any sort of infection - could be nothing

and just because you don't FELL sick means nothing..you must go through a latent phase as the bacterial load multiples to a level high enough for you to feel sick...this is unless your system fights it before that happens.
