I put three dvds on the counter and a box of whoppers at my local Blockbuster. I pull out my cash and see that the twenty I thought I had, wasn't there any more. I only have $14 singles and some change. Immediately I know I wont have enough cash to get all that stuff. She just finished ringing up the Whoppers when I tell her:

"Can you take off the Whoppers? I'm sorry. I changed my mind. Don't have enough."

She goes "UUUUGGGGH", sighs deeply, and says "okay. but once I take it off I can't put it back on." I think to myself, what a dummy. Takes her five minutes to void out the whoppers when she says "Last chance, you sure you don't want them?" I say "Yep, don't want them" but before I could get that out of my mouth she says "Too late, they're off."

Oh.. kay. I wasn't going to say what I was thinking, that even if I changed my mind again, she'd sell me the damn whoppers.

Then she rings up my movies. Total comes up to $16 something. I count all my quarters and I'm just a buck short. Oops. I ask her if she can take off one of my movies too. She sighs deeply again and rolls her eyes. Her blue eye shadow flutters at me. Without looking my way, she points above the register and snottily says "We have a sign up there that says how much these movies cost. Might wanna check into that."

I tell her, "Look you don't need to be a dick about it, I thought I had brought more money than I actually had. If it's really this hard for you to void out a fucking item maybe you shouldn't be the god damned manager and maybe you shouldn't be giving me attitude either."

She grunts and takes another five minutes to remove the movie.

She tells me "Your total is $9.56. DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR THAT?"

I take a deep breath and calmly tell the whore, "Yes, yes I have enough money for that, thank you for being so polite about this entire situation. Your GM will be hearing from me when I get home, I hope the rest of your career here is fantastic."





Why do teenagers have to be such assholes? I know some other teenagers who work at sandwich shops who are the most cheery, happy employees, ever. They smile and make sure I'm happy and that they are representing their company well. Look I know you're unhappy about working at Blockbuster but if you're so unhappy that you're going to be a massive twat to your customers, get a job somewhere else god damnit.

I got home, told my bf, and he got livid. lol. I'm just glad he wasn't there, he would've caused a scene. I'm surprised I didn't, the most I did was say a few obsceneties.

I'm mad that I even gave that place money now.

I went in there, asked the girl if they had it, she said "No." Then I said "Are you sure?" She said "let me check. how do you spell Wyatt? WHo is in it?" I laughed and said, Kevin Costner, told her how to spell it, and she said "Yep, I was right, we don't have it. It's probably too old."
