I'm talking about a specific kind of talks-to-themselveser. The kind that does it strictly for your attention. Not the sick person, koo-koo kind. Not the angry, mumbling under their breath kind. The kind that does it just loud enough because he thinks he's peaked your curiosity and you keep thinking he's actually talking to you. He wants you to think he's crazy so that you look at him, he wants you to think he's talking to you so that you ask him "what?" over and over and over.

It's like he's doing it JUST to triple M me.

Oh man, there was a guy that used to do that when I worked for fujitsu. He would look at the dumbest shit online and laugh JUST loud enough so that people could hear him. We used to ask him what was so funny and he would show us and we would feign interest and then turn around.

It didnt take long for it to become extremely irritating. When we all stopped turning around and asking him what was funny he would start laughing even louder and then talk about whatever it was that was on his screen. Shit was annoying as hell.

And krispy, if im writing php or .js i will say everyline outloud as im typing it, lol. fucking weird. I even have funny names for the chars that take too long to say like questionmark and what not.

i am just a vocal person. i talk with my hands. i express pleasure & anger without using words but other verbal expressions (until i peak & the words come tumbling out)

it is a common misconception that i am doing it for attention. when i laugh at the internet it isn't because i want your attention. its because it was funny. stop listening to me. don't look over the cubicle wall. when i am doing it for attention there is a mic involved. when i am at work or something & i talk to the copier to encourage it to work, it is not for the benefit of people in earshot.

oh... Yea, that's annoying... but yea, I do talk to myself, but it's strictly functional... if I need to think out some sort of workflow for something work related, or If I need to speak to a group of people, I'll usually speak out loud and rehash something I'm going to say... or think through some logic problem... but even then I try to keep it under my breath as much as possible...
