Jesus christ...

Had to go to the one in Garland... The only branch in this area that accepts payments... and waited over Two and Half hours.. no number called... had to go back to work.. now I've got to go back in tomorrow.

Just a simple payment is all I want to do, but I can't mail it in, because it will take three weeks to process and I need it within the next week.

I also love that there are convenient online services available for you to do just about anything, except whenever you want to use the services they say, oh except for you... we can't process you at this time for some reason we also cannot tell you, please visit one of our purgatory branches...

I think DPS is the same everywhere.
It's become such a gigantic waste of time for the most part.

Even in this electronic age, they have the slowest moving lines ever. I mean, with all the technology we have these days, those lines should be moving about the same speed as a grocery store checkout.

I've found that it's quicker to drive out to a podunk DPS than to wait in line a lot of times. For me, the DPS in Jonestown is about 45 minutes away, but there's no line and I'd rather drive around the country than sit in a smelly waiting room with somebody else's kids.

Shit I went to the one in Downtown Dallas and waited 2 1/2 hours. Granted it was on a Friday afternoon. The only good thing about it was I was able to wonder downtown for an hour and grab a sandwich after I got my #. I imagine if you go early in the day in the middle of the week the wait might not have been the same.
