My job is overwhelming me. I basically had to develop my program from the ground up.My hours are ridiculous and I have to track and report different data for the agency I work for, the hospital that funds my grant, and the coalition that wrote my grant. Plus I get around 30 new kids each month plus all the clients I aquired since May. I also do groups which take up much of my time. Ive let my supervisors know, but they all do there own thing and don't really care if I'm overloaded. I think I might just snap. Then someone will have to take care of me.

I do, however, it's never really constructive. No one else does what I do and we are really understaffed. The keep saying I'll get an intern, but it hasn't happened.

well i wish you luck. i know how job stress can be. i got myself out of it though by pressuring the suits into fixing things.

what i've learned is that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. You may have to lose your cool and start demanding things. get that damn intern!

Technically, I'm a LPC-I (counselor). However, right now, I'm doing counseling, intensive case management, and program development for families in Fort Worth homeless shelters.

That was going to be my suggestion.

I've noticed a lot of things just "disappear" when you introduce a dab of heroin into the equation. Maybe even a dollop.

Bills sort of just fade into obscurity, and those pesky cops/landlords and their incessant door banging become a rhythmic monotone-like static sound in the background that lets you know the world is still burning but its going to be okay.
