I've been charged an extra $500 for something that apparently 3 ppl have not been able to explain where it came from...

I've been hung up on 3 times and transferred 2 times.

I'm now talking w/ the 4th person.

finally figured it out... autopayment ended 2 months ago and they kicked it to collections and added a bunch of bullshit fees.

I've been on time since 2003 and they booted it after 2 months... fuckin' assholes.

CC's are evil if you can't control yourself from charging stuff.

BUT they can be great if you need to rent a car, book a hotel room, etc. AND if you can pay them off responsibly you can build a good credit history with them.
