 | User Error
i hit delete. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOes! checked to be sure i had the poems i wanted to work on this wknd. i'm visiting a friend & his microphone next week & girl has to be prepared. who wants to show up without anything to say? lol cleaning up the folder and highlighted one file to delete. the batty thing starts deleting everything in the folder. CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL lost like 25 files out of 50. including the 6 poems i had for next week. 6 poems that cannot be replaced. 6 i'd been putting together for the last 2 years. the 6 to go with the 4 tracks already in the can. i fail with user error. i had to have done SOMETHING wrong. searched recycle bin. searched the hard drive. cursed myself for my new policy of throwing out the original paper scribbles. cried a little like my new puppy had been hit by a bus.  called my wonderful wonderful wonderful friend randy who has recovery superpowers. you sir, rock. wasn't easy, but he found most of it. some of it was too decayed to be open. but i have my 6, thank goodness. the moral of the story: keep your original scribbles. backup your thumbdrive. appreciate your friends & don't forget  JESUS SAVES.
