...and knowing I can't do a Goddamned thing about it without going to jail because they will never compensate me for their crimes without my forcing them to. I was wondering why I've been on such an edge underneath it all the past few weeks and this is why. Demons stirring inside me like hungry hungry hippos demanding a bloodprice and all I can do is wish that I didn't know who did it so I could just let it go.

Maybe I've just had shit lifted on far too many occasions to have one sane drop of tolerance left for so much as a condom disappearing from my dresser.

Don't think I am not ready to go Jackie Estacado on these assholes, tentacles, claws, black suffocating slime, fucking all of it; I just do not want to go to jail. And this is a different situation entirely, but certainly explains why I'd make such a deal out of someone snaking into my mom's house and not taking anything.

And, Peter, I write everything like it's a creative writing assignment--and I don't play the Karma card either. Besides, Karma doesn't bother with individual trifles, she's a few billion other souls to sort.

As for the goods, go ahead and stare in disbelief at my anger, but it was recently purchased towels and pillows I've just discovered missing today, in addition to merchandise that I won't mention here lest the thread get locked. Anyway, what this all comes down to is that I a tend to trust people too stupidly and readily. I'm pissed at myself for letting this happen and I'm more than eager to take it out on them.

You speak my language. Unfortunately for my case, however, I chose to lose my cool quite early on, and left a number of messages and texted a number of threats, one purpose of which was pure taunt to get them to come after me and another purpose just a hope of venting it all out so I could let it go. Unfortunately I made the stupid decision of not being quiet about this like I should have before making a move; now all I've done is leave an open door for incriminating myself if and when I do. I touch them, all they have to do is take their phone to the APD and I'm the one who gets tossed in the cage.

But I can't. And you're right, the monetary value may as well be loose change for all the potency of their insult.

If Karma did have a care for my troubles, I'd just ask her to hand me the scythe and look the other way.
