Ok. Ok. I know that ultimatley I'm to blame for this one, but they could have worked with me a little bit.

Story:

Bought furniture from Ashley and financed it. 0%-Equal Payments-3yrs. No prob. I get the 1st bill, look at the due date and set it aside. Due date comes and I look to pay it online. No online option. Go to Citi bank and they wont accept it either. Only option is to pay by check or over the phone. By this time its to late to do either.

So I call back the next day, pay by phone, and get raped with a $15 over-the-phone payment fee. owned. Get the next bill. Have a lete fee charge.

Call and resolve the late charge. Next I setup automatic billing with my bank so I don't have to deal with the headache.

Problem solved until this month.

I get a auto-call to my phone informing me that I have underpaid my account and it needs be paid for my account to be in good status. Talk to the operator and tell her that I have been paying my account by auto pay for several months, what's the problem? She tells me that I have been paying it late. NO. I inform her that my pay date is the 6th every month. She tells me its the 5th. Well fuck!

Turns out I paid the payment late 1 day late for the past two months b/c my due dates apparently changed from the 6th (what my payment have been since I started) to the 5th. So now I have two late fees and they also removed my 0% promotion and now getting finance charges.

I ask them why my due dates have changed and they tell me that it due to the # of days in a month. I'm like wtf? I have all kinds of other accoutns why is this fluctuating?

"Well sir we can make it so your due dates don't change from month to month."

YEA! Fucking do that. You think I like paying interest on my 0% interest account and paying late fee of $39.

FUCK!

I ask them to reverse the late fees b/c they are just now giving me the option to make my payment date fixed and they say that they can't b/c I had already had a reversal when I 1st opened the account.


GOD DAMNIT!!! I fail *sad face*

lesson: pay attention to your bills even if you have them on auto-pay

Oh yeah, I have had the same problem with them. Well, not the exact some problem, but something that was "fine print" BS.

I bought furniture from Haverty's, 0% interest for 2 years. So I made my first payment BEFORE a payment was even due. I paid more than I even needed to pay.

I get a bill and I'm past due. WHAT?

Apparently, I have to pay within a specific timeframe for that payment to count towards the next month's bill. Oh. OK.

So I have to pay after the 18th of the month and before the 9th of the next month, or the payment I make doesn't apply to the balance for the next month. It's confusing and fine print BS. Annoying.

Now I pay most of my bills on the 15th, and then on the 19th I have to remember to pay that one bill.
