Fucking 401k companies

are really pissing me off.

I had 401K with Prudential and my previous employer. I got a new job and after a few months when it seemed like I would stay I called and had a check cut from Prudential and sent to Acensus, the company my new employer had 401K with.

What I didn't know was the day I called and had the check cut - EVEN THOUGH I TALKED TO THE HR MGR - they laid me off. I called Prudential the next day but they said it was too late, the check was cut and mailed. They also said if Acensus sent the check back they could cut a new one. I called and talked to Acensus and they said they would be on the look out for it.

When Acensus received the check they called the HR mgr from the company I was laid off at and this is where it gets blurred. They said he told them them to cut a check back to Prudential and send the check to him. He said he never told them that. Prudential could have accepted the original check back but since it was cashed and a new one was cut they will not accept it.

The HR mgr made me come pick the check up. Now I have a check made out to Prudential that Prudential will not accept, and Acensus has no account for me, and also that they will have to charge me $50 for cutting a new one, if they even can. They couldn't even give me an answer today and will have to call me back. And my old employer, the one that laid me off, is being a total dick about the whole thing.

WTF SOMEONE JUST FUCKING GIVE ME MY MONEY. So fucking frustrating. And I am not paying $50 when no one asked me what to do with the damn check.

Someone needs to get their shit straight. Either cash the bitch out minus the taxes so I dont have to deal with it anymore, or let me open an IRA with my bank and send them a new check. Jesus H. Christ!!!!!!!!!!
