Hit and Run

Soooooooo my car got hit in the parking lot next to Minc tonight.

A cab driver witness left a note with his business card with the thugs info on it. Called 911 to report it and waited 40 minutes (till 3am) for DPD to show up and finally went home. Going in to a police station tomorrow to finish this shit...

Hopefully the BLACK MALE 30-35 gets owned.


Luckily not much damage. Big dent on my hood and a busted out front light.


Sigh.

Side note... Does Minc have cameras on that parking lot?
I have license plate and stuff, plus witness, but I would think video footage would be nice too. I really don't know what I'm going to have to go through to get this worked out.


Edit: An hour and a half later a police officer calls me and says he is on the way to the scene. ROFL. Wow.

I'm sorry for your predicament as this couldve happened anywhere BUT ......seriously.
A lot of these TOW'S and DINGS, and HIT AND RUNS are somewhat minimalized if not preventable.

Fuck it, went to a DPD station today and just got some paperwork to fill out and mail in.
Car is functional with the damage and I don't really wanna spend money to fix it so I'm gonna have a dent in my hood and a broken, but working, headlight.... unless they the license plate info is right and they find the guy and he has insurance.

Oh well, party tonight bitches.

Man that sucks, the same thing happened to me. And no it's not preventable unless you stop going out. You would have to stop driving altogether in order to prevent it.

A guy hit my car in the parking lot at Minc. Someone saw it and left me a note with his license plate number. I had a friend do a search on the plates and found out his name. I searched the name on myspace and found the fucker. He is in a band that was playing right down the way from Minc, the band's schedule was listed on his myspace page. I messaged him and told him I knew it was him and I was going to call the cops if he didn't pay to have my bumper fixed. He gave me a check, it was cashed, and that was the end of that

I got a full plate as well as vehicle description... I just pointed out the black male part cause the guy wrote that down too! lol

ah, then good luck you'll probably have to take them to civil court, cause having a plate and just giving that to the insurance company, but with a witness as well, it will work in court.
