After 9/11 happened my company had a wage freeze. I stayed with them tho, and the 3rd year I got a big raise. It pays off to be loyal, in some cases. Good luck.

We had a wage freeze here that was almost a year long.

Actually we later found out that it was a wage freeze for people making under 100k a year. Managers making over 6 figures kept getting raises and bonuses. surprise surprise.

anyway, your CEO is right, be thankful that they didnt just fire 15 people so they could keep giving people raises. It's happening all over the place.
