Fuck you redlight camera
This is horseshit I get home from work and check the mail and boom a fucking redlight ticket from city of Garland So I was like ok I fucked up so I get to looking at the paper and the photo and realize I was fucking turning. I checked the website and it clearly shows me making a right turn Fucking cocksuckers I dont even think I can fight it. It's $75 which isnt shit but its the principal of the matter FUCK YOU SHIT HOLE GARLAND

I got two from turning left off of Greenville Ave onto Mockingbird.....fucked up thing about mine was is I got them a YEAR later because I moved and my car wasn't registered to my new address. So now I owe $100 a ticket.

They go to collections instead of warrant status so because I'm unemployed I haven't paid them yet. Hopefully I can pay them soon though!

How can they legally ticket you for turning when its legal to turn on red as long as theres no sign stating you cant?

I don't know. I think the whole red light camera thing is utter bullshit and from what I hear it's caused more rear end accidents due to people stopping short for red lights.

I was turning left and in the intersection when the light turned red, so I really had no other choice but to fucking turn or get smashed into by traffic coming off of Mockingbird. I'm not going to fight it, but I'm just not going to pay it yet. I did call the number on it and made sure they don't send those tickets to warrant because I knew I wasn't going to have the money to pay for it.

Lucky yours is just the $75 instead of having the late fees tacked on to it.

The red light cameras are actually falling out of favor in Dallas because they work TOO well and are killing Dallas' revenue from red light tickets.

stopping short for a red light? the yellow wasn't a clue that the red was on it's way? sounds like the next person in traffic should have been stopping, too.

the rules say you aren't supposed to enter into the intersection unless it is safe to proceed all the way through. creeping out there is a no-no.

could be a bug in the red light camera system, but those things snap their photo just as it turns red. if he was in the process of turning right, then he would have to have started his turn while the light was yellow. the court could say that he should have stopped since the light was about to turn red and then proceed with his turn.

sounds like it's not from running the light but for not coming to a complete stop before turning. Or possibly crossing the white line at a red.

I thought I read one municipality also found they tended to increase accidents because more people started slamming on their breaks at yellow lights.

You make a complete stop before making the turn on red? Plano got me on this one a few months ago.
