spending the weekend biting a pillow terrified that my child has some kind of scary illness or a tumor SUCKED
just got the blood test back and thankfully, hes ok and the doctor called off the ct scan but we still have to get some xrays.
this has helped me learn how trivial some shit is and how much i have taken for granted in my life.
just the thought of him having somekind of blood deficiency broke my heart and when the doctor said that we may have to get ct scans on his neck in case he had a tumor, i thought i might actually fucking die.
i have never felt so relieved in my entire fucking life. i almost went jesus over here.

over the past 6 months, he kept having this weird lump appear on the right side of his neck that the dr said was just a swollen gland and prescribed antibiotics for it. after 3 times i was like, ok, fuck this, we need to look more in to this and went to another dr for a 2nd opinion and he said if def wasnt just ok to keep giving him meds and ordered all of these tests.
its scary because if you tilted his head you can clearly see and feel this weird like knot that moved around and it just gave me the creeps.
altho now that we know that is surely a lymph node, im still glad we went ahead and did the tests because i wanted to be 100% sure that everything is ok and not just pump him full of antibiotics and eventually have him become immune to them
ill letcha kno how the rest of the test results come back. were crossing our fingers for just "allergies"

We got a blood test w/lead levels off the chart... terrified waiting for retesting results to come back which determined the first result was due to contaminated sample. Then they told us that although the contaminated result was high it would have fallen with the "normal" range when our parents were children. Leaded gas... removing it lowered lead levels in people. Just another example of the cleaner environment we have today compared to previous decades.
