wicked headaches

I seem to have horrid headaches regularly lately and I can't seem to figure out why. The only thing I can pinpoint is that I'm not drinking enough water but that doesn't seem like a cause for chronic headaches. I've been chowin' down Excedrin like there's no tomorrow but the headache just doesn't seem to go away.

could be dental? vision change? er exhaustion er stress? maybe worth gettin checked if it's sudden... hope you feel better cuz headaches can ruin days! so can doctor's bills... ick...

most likely, it's stress. it's not a migraine and not a tension headache, so I'm going with stress and lack of water.

yeah if there hasn't been any major changing factors in your daily routine, and it's sudden, and it's in pain to where otc meds aren't all that helpful, Especially if it gets worse from here! is it light sensitive at all? you should start keepin a log for the doc though of like how long they last, and when they're occurring and the whole pain scale thing... but anywho, prob. know most of this but I just fig. in case... don't procrastinate if it gets worse.

try switching to Ibprofen instead of Excedrin; if you are taking it as much as you say you are, its helping effects are only going to decrease. Ibprofen helps with swelling, which is probably whats happening in your head (not that there's anything super serious going on, stop panicking) and making your headaches feel really bad. Ice packs should also help, so will darkness.

You really do need to be careful with taking so much pain meds bc they can cause rebound headaches, which is basically your body hurting because you haven't taken any drugs that day. If its bad enough and lasts for another day or two, I would go see a doc about it bc it could be something more serious than "just" a headache.

yeah, I switched to ibuprofen last night and stepped away from the computer. my head was still killing me by the time I went to bed...and my eyes started watering like crazy. I had also been using an ice pack all day as well.

I took some allergy meds this morning and my headache seems to be going away. My eyes are still watering though, don't know what's up with that. When I woke up the morning, my eyes are crusted shut. So gross and not pleasant to wake up to, whatsoever. I'm gonna give another day, if it doesn't get better I'll call my doc.
