I know this because of two recent events.

1) As of Monday, they replaced the army of water coolers stationed throughout the building with two water fountains that are located at the entrances of the building. I work in the middle, so I get to walk down 3 hallways to get a drink now!

2) They have blocked all news sites including sports news, so I can no longer read about current events, or more importantly, NFL free agency news.

I blame Obama. How dare you cut DoD funding!?

I can understand blocking entertainment sites, but how can they block news sites and not this one, lol.
Most companies I have worked for that had blocking going on pretty much allowed ONLY news sites.

Yeah, I don't get it. They blocked all sorts of sites, but for some reason they never block my DDM. So at least I have that going for me when I want to be unproductive.

I'm more pissed about the water being so far away. It's annoying.

Likely the result of some bored n00b IT jackass going through all the server logs to see what sites the employees are visiting and how much time they spend on the sites, news sites prob ranked near the top. Then he can suggest blocking them to his manager to justify his position in the company.

Mine does too. He decided that after June 1st, I don't have to do anymore work. Tradeoff is he isn't going to pay me any longer either lol.

I take water bottles into work daily since they don't even have a water fountain in my office. I fill them with Brita water from home and pack them in a small ice chest so I can have cold water all day.
