Stupid HIV is acting up again! I got a polinidal cyst (on my ass crack) that makes it painful sitting down. I already saw a doctor about that on Tuesday and got some happy pills to make the pain go away. It should hopefully pop soon and then it won't be bad at all. If it pops up again, then it looks like I am on my way to the surgeon to have it cut out. Last week, my hearing in my right hear started giving out, so I figured it was an earwax build up and got some drops from walgreens after hydrogen peroxide didn't do the trick. It seemed to help a little bit, but it still felt rather clogged. Yesterday I decided to try the earwax candles, and although it removed some wax, it only appeared to make matters worse. This morning I wake up and I can't hear anything, but it feels like I am underwater. I can hear myself chew and it is very loud, but that's about it. So now I need to go see an ENT doctor. This blows! Oh well, at least I have hydrocodone and one ear to listen to music with. I can't wait til I can hear in Stereo again, though. Mono sucks.

Yesterday after the ear candle, my hearing would fluctuate from 100% to 50% to 0% alternating between the three at like 3 second intervals. It drove me mad and I hit my ear with my palm a few times to try to get it to stop. I'm pretty sure I caused a little trauma to the ear because of that, so I am hoping it is healing up right now. Either way, I'd rather be deaf in one ear than have that shit go on again like it was yesterday. For about two hours it felt like someone was attacking my ear with a plunger.

not to beat you up while your down but go ahead and save yourself the embarrassment by not telling your ENT about using ear candles. i'm not surprised that it made it worse and thats not ear wax your seeing in there. thats candle wax. repeated warm water works well.

The embarrasment will not come from using ear candles, but from it driving me so crazy that I slapped my ear a few times to try to make it stop fluctuating.

I think you damaged it cleaning it with q-tips because it itched so much from drainage due to allergies. Ear drops + cotton ball + leaving it alone would probably help, along with a decongestant and rest. ![]() But I'm no doctor. I'll pop that butt pimple, though...

Well you get the ear drops on the way home and we will try it out tonight. I've been good at leaving it alone today. I still don't know what allergies you are talking about, though!

Either way, you're sick and you need to rest.

I've known a few people with those cysts who had to have them removed. It's pretty miserable because of the gaping hole at the base of your spine that you have to change the dressing on several times a day, but they hook it up with the pain meds. That sucks about your ear too. Man one time when I was like 24, I threw my back out at the gym and had an awful infection in my lymph glands under my arm that was spreading down my arm. I came into my doc's barely being able to walk with red streaks down my left arm and she was like wtf you're a mess.
