Toll Road Violations

so im in the hole to the NTTA about 5 grand. got the VEA and they want to reduce it to the low low price of 2,200. lucky me.

it costs me 6 dollars in tolls a day to get to work. do the math. this shit is ridiculous. guess i'll have to start taking the service roads.

i ask because i had to go through a tollgate without paying on the George Bush turnpike thing because they walled off the side where you pay so i was stuck in the tolltag lane. such crap. i need to find out who to call so i can pay without getting fined.

something just doesn't seem right to me about it. half those violations im sure are from dumb shit like the change dispenser being out of change. what am i suppost to do, throw cash in the bucket? and i can remember plenty of times i paid that stupid fucking toll only to have the red light flash in my face after about 2 seconds.

good luck with that one. their customer service is notoriously fucked. you can call their service line and take care of it but im sure it wont be that easy.

they will wait until you get a few more violations, then send you a bill in the mail for the administrative fees. its 25$ every violation, plus the toll.

i never take the tollway, i just did that one time and found i was in the wrong lane. what i want to know is why the fuck do they put up a huge concrete barrier so you can't get in the pay lane? that shit must've been a mile long.

sux.. but there is a cost to driving on tollways and a cost for not getting involved as well as a cost for not paying your tolls. sounds like you are making excuses for not paying some of them and they have lowered to fees to accommodate.

when did this occur? the toll road has been there since like the 80s...have they voted to remove the tolls more recently?

and they lowered the fees upon the agreement i made to become a member of the NTTA, pay off the owed tolls (not the administrative fees) which is like almost nothing, and not get a single toll violation for 6 months.

i thought the point of tolls was to pay for the road and once the road was paid for it was done... then they tell you the tolls are for maintenance. that's some really fucking expensive maintenance. i want to see some gold plated tollways for the amount they charge.

they voted on the new tollways and they also had votes on what the money is going to pay for. right now dallas people are paying for fort worth to get some new tollways. all because they decided to wait on building roads, the cost to make them increased tenfold. there were votes... there were posts in A&P about them years ago.

The good news is that if you have 50 bucks you can just give NTTA a call and they will drop 90% of all the charges and fees under one condition: You get a tolltag. So pay the $45 or whtaever, then later you can pay the... whatever 100-200 you'll have to pay. Way less expensive than dealing with warrants, or paying those thousands.

im talking about the dallas north tollway, going into plano. thats not a "new" tollway. and i believe its privately owned. im not making excuses i genuinely was not aware that there was ever an initiative to vote against the toll on NDT.

i owed those asshats 300 dollars , i bought a toll tag for 40$ and they droped the fine. plus i had 40$ worth of toll credits for buying the card. I fucking hated it when my company had our main building in addison right off the tollway
