here's my suggestion.

when ppl act horrible, you are allowed to cut them off. friend yesterday, gone tomorrow. now i will put up with a lot of nonsense from my real friends. but being REAL they don't give me any hardcore nonsense, just the mischievous kind.

i too am a broke organizer, but anytime i was unable to pay fully it was clear from the beginning. don't promise ppl things you have no intention of delivering.

so it came to a point where i prefer to throw parties in places all ready set up for bunches of people. when you have to build the amenities from the ground up it gets really expensive. working something out in a place with electricity & bathrooms instead of renting portolets & generators is really the way to go.

i went camping 2 weeks ago & had a hot shower, flushing toilets and a very fine communal grill for my fooding needs. i suggest the next time a "field party" is suggested, limit the time you ask non-camping ravers to commit to your event.

a weekend long disco camping adventure requires facilities for human needs. enjoying electronic music does not = drug induced stupor for 2 or 3 days. some of us need to eat, drink & make in the loo.

i am capable of bringing everything i need to survive. but its less for fun for me lately to watch other ppl suffer who didn't come prepared. i won't babysit strangers anymore & i sure the ehll won't hold my friends' hair while they make sickness instead of being good to their bodies.

a true friend will tell you honestly when you are fkking up. an enabler lets you hurt yourself, while they smile & nod. how you survive might depend on which kind of friend you prefer.
