Yeah I'm not sure about this place anymore. I used to hear ppl complain about Dallas and I would get all defensive and shit, but not so much anymore. Between the weather, teams, nightlife, and just the whole scene I'm coming to grips with the fact that Dallas sucks. Oh yeah, and whats up with the Dallas zoo? That damn place has sucked for as long as I can remember. And now we got that "no smoking" bullshit.... I've had it with Dallas! This place is just not what it used to be (not that it was all that great to begin with) but at least there was a moment in time where the cowboys and stars were on their game.

I can complain all day long like the next guy, but at the end of the day, all the people I care about are here, and I have some neats times.. It's home..

I know, and likewise all the ones I care for are here too. As a Dallas native I feel compelled to stay here, even if it is for the ones I care about.

I'm still new to Dallas and I'm trying to figure out if I like it and want to stay. So far I think i'm liking it compared to Phoenix. The night life is cooler even though everything shuts down for the winter. It actually picks up in the winter in Phoenix. There isn't as many assfliction bro douches but you guys do have an excessive amount of blazer douches. There's a music scene here not centered on happy hardcore. And this place isn't over run with tweekers.

There are lots of big cities with smoking bans so you'll have to get used to it.

I haven't been to the Zoo but the Aquarium seemed kind of lacking. I thought it was going to be something more. But the animal reserve in Phoenix is just down right depressing. I went there with the girl friend and my parants once. We walked out of there thinking we needed to rescue the animals from the reserve. They looked so depressed and miserable. But not everyone has a San Diego Zoo kind of budget.

Got to catch a stars game. And it was awesome. They played the Redwings and it was a really good game.

It's easy to get into a low and hate your home town. So I'd recommend moving and checking out a new place. I hated Phoenix and moved here. I did originally look into moving to austin and I might still do that. I don't know, I've signed on for another year here. So I'll see.

But change is good.

I've always loved Dallas, and always will. That being said, I do feel the push to move on. Once I've finished my undergrad, I will hopefully get into NYU or UCB/UCLA. Then it will be time leave my home town that I do love. If you hate Dallas--move; if you don't--stay, unless you just want a breath of fresh air and still love it like some of us.

there is so much cool shit going on all the time in Dallas.

Last week I went to First Thursday on Dragon Street and saw some BAD ASS art.

This Sunday there's a "Techno Fashion Show".

Next month, I'm going to a party in the top of the downtown Sheraton. It's been re-modeled and now has almost a 360 degree view of downtown from up on top.


I'm over-whelmed with cool shit to do.

Oh Maryam. You're just upset its raining and gloomy out and thats got cha down. I have to say though, you're being one of those people that annoy me. Dallas is a hell of alot better than many places in the U.S. I have a love for Dallas but I would like to move someday. Everyone I care about is here so I know I will always be back here at least a couple times a year. Maybe when I get out of school I will venture out into the world.

Dont go to the Dallas zoo if you're going to the zoo. Fort Worth Zoo FTW. The World Aquarium is cool.

Cheer up buttercup. I think you have just gone too long w/o some Waylon time. That will put anyone down in the dumps!
