So, the local media has been making a big deal about an Ikea, opening in Tampa(I guess the first one here). Well, consumers are also making a big deal about it, and some even camped out.

I've never been in one, nor have I known any who has. So, on my way home from the airport I decided to make a detour, and go to this store and check it out.

Seriously? That cheap ass shit is what everyone makes a big deal out of?

I dont mind the "putting it together yourself" bit, but my god the stuff is definetly not something worth all of the attention.

it doesn't fall apart. i've had several pieces of their furniture over the years and none of it has fallen apart. sometimes i have had to improvise with the instructions because yeah.. they are bad sometimes.. but that's it.

everyone I know that have purchased there were and are happy with their furniture. If you can read direction and/or have common sense you should be able to put it together properly. And if you put it together properly then it will last. And I know cause Ive been putting shit like this together since I was sixteen.

It is cheap and easy. It is not supposed to be anything other than very functional everyday stuff.
