Respectable, Dallas DJ's not putting forth the effort like many other awakening and talented DJ's are willing to do.

I've been playing for a year now and have been keeping up with quality demos, giving everything 130%, and find myself constantly witnessing no visible talent, no conviction, just train wrecks and weird phrases.

I became a DJ for the musical expansion, not to watch no talents get booked and 15+ year DJ's play the same tracks and parties while putting on a sloppy show.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel that everything is mainly a popularity contest, convenient choices, or about money.

boy you must be new to the game. look i'm gonna save you a world of heartache. quit now. because if you're just a year in and already pissing and moaning about "how shit ain't fair" and "why these niggas so sloppy" you are destined to fail and do so in a very public way.

here's some advice. i normally don't waste my time on children but i'm feeling generous. you can repay me by shutting up and remembering what i said.

1. if other people are sorry thats their problem. focus on your shit.
2. don't get frustrated if life hasn't "given you what you deserve" in the dj field. this shit might work with your mom whom i'm sure you live with but to us in the real world...well we think that shit is dumb.
3. keep playing. get good. develop your own taste. act cordial and grateful. go out to other peoples shit frequently. boom! problem solved. you get booked if you're good.
4. don't hang with wack dj's. they rub off on you. in many ways.

if one of these 4 above things doesn't give you the answer you seek, you are asking the wrong questions.

now move on. nobody knows who the fuck you are or cares really what you think about veterans. its that simple. i think what you really are feeling is frustration at your own predicament not that of others. stay focused on you grasshopper.

Look, this probably looks and comes off like i'm just some eager youngin' upset and frustrated. I love to play I love to watch others play, I love the parties, the people, everything about it, I give respect to everyone who is deserving and shows respect back, i'm all for that shit but my main point is that I feel like there is some really great and upcoming talent out in Dallas these days and I think those people should be givin the chance to prove themselves.

Again, my bad for coming off like a bitch about this but I feel like I have developed my taste in music, I know what I like and sounds good, I give me all when I play and I think everyone should. I'm very patient with things and I really do go out of my way to try and get a little recognition. I've built a lot of respect with some really great people and some of the most well known DJ's in dallas and am just trying to do the best I can.
