First day at Iron Cactus- A server rant.

So today was my first day actually on the floor at my new job, Iron Cactus, downtown. And I was food running today.
If you dont know, Iron Cactus is 3 stories. So Im carrying these trays up 4 flights of stairs. No biggie, Im just chalking it up to a great workout.
However, the servers on the 2nd and 3rd floors, just reap the benefits of my minimum-wage-trainee-status self cause the arent tipping me out and just hanging out on their respective floors waiting for me to bring them their food.
But I digress.
Not too familiar with table numbers, this IS my first day on the floor.
So, Im running food to a table, and go to the completely wrong table, realize it, then head to the right one. When I get there, the server goes, LOUDLY in front of the table
"YOU SHOULD KNOW THE TABLE NUMBERS, THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT! Now, which one is seat one?"
I get it wrong. He says "WRONG".
(keep in mind, this guy is NOT my trainer, just some server)
The party of 8 silently stares at me as I finally figure it out, and then pass out their food while he sits there and stares at me.
As Im getting the tray and the tray jack and walking off he starts to follow me. I turn around when we are outside of the dining room and tell him politely, "Do not patronize me in front of guests." He says, "EXCUSE ME?"
I repeat and walk off.
What the fuck. What a jack ass. I mean really. Im not a fucking two year old, but this IS my first shift working on the floor.
I told my trainer, and all he said, was "yeah, hes foreign, and he thinks he owns the place."

I know this belongs in a blog, but I dont care, so suck it.

Every job I have worked I had to deal with some sort of ego or attitude in a superior. Some I grinded out until I found something better, some I straight up told to go fuck themselves and quit on the spot. Even now that I'm the boss, I still have to deal with the same type of shit with customer relationships. Good luck, be you, you won't fail yourself

Lots of people with college degrees wait tables. It's not a big deal at all. Ive waited tables as a second job on and off since I graduated. It's a great way to get extra cash.
