Most depressing movie ever...fuck

my friend's sister picked out a movie for us to watch together and it was a pick between "the boy with the striped pajamas" or "benjamin Button" and having already seen depressing ass benjamin butthole, i opted for what seemed like a more lighthearted title.

boy was i wrong.

the movie was about the holocaust. as if that wasn't depresssing enough...


basically this 8 year old boy's father is an SS officer on the death squad in charge of running a concentration camp. they move out into the countyside so nazi daddy can be closer to his "work". the boy sees workers around the house in striped 'pajamas' and wonders why they are dressed that way, not understanding until later that they are jews. he makes friends with a jewish 8 year boy in the concentration camp and brings him food and toys to play with trhough the fence. when the jew boy's father goes missing inside the camp, the german boy desides to help. he disguises himself as a jew worker and slips under the fence to help his friend look for his father. while looking for his father both boys end up getting sent to the gas chambers where they die. miserable fucking ending.

Shitballs. That does sound pretty damn depressing. At least I don't have to watch it now since someone already told me how it ends

I sat through the Benjamin Button recently. Wasn't bad, but I just wish I hadn't gone out and bought it since everyone said it was so good. Anyone wanna buy a movie? Only watched and thrown across the room once!!!

I think its going to be a given any film with a nazi concentration death camp as its backdrop is going to have a fucked up depressing end.

Even - Life is Beautiful (despite its whimsical start) ends pretty fucked up.

dude, I've been wanting to see that movie for a minute.

and I didnt read anything past you mentioning the title title. I dont want it ruined for me. but bradh, given the time period they are making the film from, I can only assume something bad happens. IT is about the fucking holocaust after all. I'm not expecting unicorns and bubble gum.
