Argh, I broke my Clavicle bone (aka collar bone) during a Tri last Sat....get to have Sugery on Thurs to fix it...Yea, fun. At least Two folks (inclusing myself crashed in the same spot and broke a bone. On the way back to the start finish, we heard a third person crashed there...Yea...

Where is FML when I need it?

Broken Color bones really suck. I broke mine moshing at a Butthole Surfers show years ago.Trying to work my way out of the pit wasn't worth a fuck.

oh man, sorry to hear. I broke mine when I was 17. I was playing baseball with my boyfriend and his family, I was pitching and the ball was hit right to my collarbone. I remember dropping straight to the ground and flipping out.

the doc said there isn't much to do for a broken collarbone - I could have surgery (and live with the scar) or let it heal on it's own and deal with a slightly abnormal curve to the bone. I chose the latter. It still bothers me during the winter, from time to time.

Jesus, I might be putting my hands up asking for a time out in that case. Not that I'd expect to get it but maybe I might. Fuck I bet that hurt.

my doc told me that it's easy to break the bone again, once it's been broken. apparently, just falling on it wrong can cause it to break. surprisingly for me, this hasn't happened.

Ive broken mine 3 times. It's the last bone to fully form in the human body.

8 screws and a plate and I am on the mend now. I had two bone fragments in there the dr could only get to one easily, so I broke it in 3 place total for 4 sections of bone to put together! Just glad I didn't watch the youtube videos on the surgery before hand! Blegh.
