It's $200 down here in Austin. My wife got towed a while back - she parked under the bridge near 6th, and they apparently close the lot at 3:00. We got there at like 3:07 and her car was already gone. Fucking shitty.

btw... just spoke to dodies' manager and she said they have people posted up w/ walkie talkies watching people who park there and call the tow trucks as soon as you step away from the parking lot.

this is a business that the landlord Mike Mayfield @ 214-742-3133 ext.5 has with the tow truck company... i'm out $138 because of this scam

I could see maybe getting towed if you parked, then walked over there before you ate... but the fact that you were a paying customer first and they towed you is lame. Did you talk to this Mike guy and if so, what did he say?

sux, when me and dubs went to get the car, there was this blonde chick who was absolutely livid... the fucked up her convertible volvo. rear bumper was hangin off, back wheels smelled like burning and her door handle liner on the inside was broken off.

Yeah tow companies are scandalous. They have teams of tow trucks go out around down town and high parking violation areas and find designated parking lots to use and do what they call a round up. They round up as many cars as they can. They take them to the parking lot picked out which is usually right around the corner and have one tow truck start to take them back as the round up as many cars as possible

It could have been worse. You could have been impounded at the Dallas Auto Impound. That's a $200 ordeal and it takes 4-5 hrs to get it out.

Every car i have ever owned has been towed at least once. The car i have now that i have had since novembver has yet to be towed. Its kinda like a really lame rite of passage with my vehicles.
