My oldest dog ripped his front dew claw playing and I had to take him to the vet to get it cut off. He seemed to be doing fine and then today when I went to change the bandage he struggled more than he usually does. Once I finally got it off he constantly tried to lick it and chew at it and it seems to be redder and more sensitive to the touch now. Guess it's gonna be another trip back to the vet tomorrow to see if its infected now.....more money I don't have thanks to being unemployed!

my vet tried to rip me. tried to take my cat in to have her teeth looked at and cleaned. i asked them over the phone what it could cost about... they said like $40. no big deal. so i take her in and they give me a clipboard with a sheet with a bunch of optional things i can have. i decline them all. they go in the other room and bring out a quote of what it'll cost. over $400 but it has a range between $400 and $800 as what it'll cost to have her teeth cleaned.

i about shit a brick. wtf! i apologized to my cat and left. my friend is gonna check with her vet on what it costs but i thought my regular vet was trying to fuck me.

normally they have to knock animals out to clean their teeth so it probably factored in the cost of anesthesia cuz that sounds about right. where abouts do you live? the vet i take mine to has low cost vet care and don't really try to rip you a new asshole on exams and such. i know for a fact their shots are cheaper and vet visits are cheaper and they're super nice.

i'm just mainly stressed because i don't have extra money for him like i normally would.

They're off of 30 and Beltline in Garland. It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it.

You should call and check out their prices. I know that most things are little more reasonable there than other vets. For instance heartworm treatments depend on the weight of your dog, same as spaying/nuetering. They also do mobile shot clinics and come through certain parts of Dallas on certain dates and offer the same prices for shots as they do at their walk in clinics. They also have clinic days where you can just come in and sign up to see the vet instead of making an appointment.

It can get crazy and busy in there and the wait might be a little longer than normal, but price wise its totally worth it and everyone is so nice and helpful up there.

there's also a mobile vet very similar to that in Lewsville. that's where I taking my animals. very nice ppl

My dog has a blister and his toe is swollen. I just noticed it last night. I am calling my vet tomrrow. I hate vet bills.
