My poor driving mistakes

so when i lived in texas i pretty much drove like an asshole. no license, no insurance, speeding, the works. in fact im surprised that i never got a DUI with the way i was riding dirty. when i moved back to cali i cleaned up my act and paid off and sat out all of my tickets. so yes, the couple times that i saw some of you i was visiting dallas so i could sit out my tickets. so after that i thought i was in the clear but now i have to pay my surcharge fee's. so now its another thousand dollars that i have to pay in order to keep my license out here. it's my fault so fuck it but it still kind of sucks.

has anyone else had to pay these fees?

Lol...yes, was pulled over and issued a ticket for an expired license. It wasn't $1000 in surcharges, but it was $100 for the next three years. If you forget, which was what landed me the in the bind in the first place, your license is suspended. Just made the last payment this year. fuckers.

*raises hand* driving with no insurance, have to pay a "responsibility fee" or some such crap. I paid... most of it, I think, before I moved out of state. I wonder if I still have to pay that back if I move back 4 years later... or if I even have anything left to pay. Can't say I ever sat a ticket out though.

yeah and i dont think you can sit out a surcharge fee. They suck. I drive like a grandma now to avoid them
