I was watching the TV this morning and it was some family, lost their long time job, working shitty jobs, can't pay the bills. Its not just me here. (although I may be the only one blaming bush) Millions of jobs have gone down the toilet, and we the workers have no control. I met a guy that got in a car wreck. It trashed his hand and he couldn't work while it healed. Then they laid him off and he lost his insurance. He needs another operation so his hand will work right again, so he can work. But until then he cant do his old job and get health insurance again.

People are going through tough times everywhere. You think an additional 5% of the nation just decided to give up their jobs and be lazy? No! Its the effect of a war that boils down to nothing more than a drunken bar fight. We got hit, but did we hit the person back that hit us? No! We jumped into a brawl with a bunch of people that were ready to get down and fight. Its stupid, and an economic drain. And, it was the government that approved it.

I have decided that all that BS coming my way is a bunch of crack heads that got put through a tough love speech back in the day. They cleaned their life up and wear their AA/NA chip like a badge of honor. Now you are giving me the same advice because it worked so well fo you. To all of you people, Fuck OFF! The only thing we share in common is music.

This is the rants and raves forum. So let me rant. If you don't like it, don't read it. If you are just going to troll R&R to make fun of people like a whack-a-mole game, you're still a loser. To people that are trying to be helpful and supportive, thanks. If this post gave you a laugh, great, but I really don't need to read about it.

I think you and tricky would get along great.

Usually when an individual is put before an obstacle that they must overcome they use logic and think of ways to solve the problem successfully.

Example: I want to go to college really really bad but I can't afford it. Whatever will I do!?

Logical answers:
- Get student loans, scholarships, financial aid, grants, etc.
- Try to get a job that will help pay for schooling
- ROTC or other programs to help pay for it
- Last resort? Do military and get the GI Bill

Your answers:
- Bitch about it
- Complain that Uncle Sam isn't doing enough to help
- Cry and blame Bush

I still don't think you completely understand devistating loss. If someone walks up and shoots a family member dead. Are you responcible? Do you feel loss? Does it effect your life? I lost a peice of myself and years of my life when I got sick. If you don't get it, you just haven't lost enough.

Hi, I was kicked out of my parents house at 19 because I fucked up and trusted my junkie brother. The only thing I had were my clothes and an $8/hr retail job. I climbed up from there basically by myself. The only steady help I took was from the deli/bakery women "accidentally" leaving some of the food that was about to get thrown away in my work area.

It sucked. A lot. But the last thing I ever did was blame outside factors on my situation. I was responsible for the situation I got myself into. I was responsible for getting myself out of it. The sooner you stop acting like a victim, the sooner you can improve your situation.

And this is why you will continue to be an idiot and fail. Keep that attitude and see where it gets you.

It has nothing to do with being sober (which I am not and never have been) and it has nothing to do with tough love. It has to do with being a responsible person and taking care of your shit. I'm not sure how old you are, but from your comments you seem to be the epitome of this slacker generation that is now in their mid 20's to mid 30's and are used to being coddled and told how anything they want can be theirs and how you they can't do anything wrong. And then their fucking mommies and daddies call their work wanting to know why their kid (adult) isn't getting treated well. It's fucking bullshit. It's everywhere. And it's sad that this work ethic is permeating our culture. You said what your issues are and it looks like you did some stupid shit and didn't clear it up. I'm not saying we all don't do stupid shit. I've got credit problems too but I don't run from them or cry about them. I created them so I gotta deal with them. What I AM saying is to suck it up and fix the problems you created yourself, and then move on to be a better person and handle your shit more responsibly. But you can take that "wah wah wah bush wah sickness wah" bullshit and shove it in your mommy-packed lunchpail. I've got friends dying of AIDS, paraplegics, and recovering drug addicts... and they don't whine like you are about how the world isn't nice to them. Pathetic.

no shit... my wife told me about some chick that cried at work and left early because they got onto her for playing on the internets and not getting her job done and missing deadlines. the chick had her PARENTS call up there and complain. she didn't last too much longer after that and was also dumped by her fiance for being a stupid baby (her parents came up there hoping to get her job back!!! LOL). it's amazing this generation of losers we got coming of age now. people that have had everything handed to them on a silver platter and can't do anything on their own. it even goes all the way to the music they listen to. when i was younger, i deeply searched out for new and different stuff... this generation is content with the pre-fab crap that comes out. no wonder they scream when Rhianna is mixed with 'Paradise City' from Guns & Roses... 'cause that's the underground shit yo...
