Getting Arrested in BFE...
Ugh, I got arrested last night just outside of Ft. Stockton. I've been arrested before, for legitimate reasons, but this was complete bullshit.

Apparently, in Pecos county, having valid insurance, but not driving the car listed on your insurance card is an offense worthy of incarceration. When I saw the judge this morning, he looked over my paperwork and asked me what happened. When I told him, his exact words were: "So why are you here? Go talk to the county attorney before you leave town and you can get this dropped." Thankfully he gave me a PR bond, so it didn't cost me anything to get out.

Not to mention that it was like the fucking Keystone Kops when I got to the jail. They took ten minutes to figure out how to put my charge into the computer, then they dropped my ID behind the desk and had to go get a trustee with some salad tongs to get it out. At least it was cells with a mattress and blanket, and not a tank.

So now I'm stuck hanging around fucking Ft. Stockton until the D.A. gets back from playing golf or banging hookers or something.

Why the hell do people live in shitholes like this?

EDIT: that may sound harsh in your circumstances. When you get home, get a shower, relax, pop a couple of beers and read it again.

No dude, you're all mixed up. I steal cars in Mexico, then resell them for a profit up here. At least the cop didn't find the dead hooker and bootlegged tequila in the trunk...
