I apply the same rules to cell phone usage as I do to any conversation. If you are keeping it at a normal speaking level, I don't give a crap. If you're one of those people who can't speak without yelling, it's going to annoy me whether you're on the phone or talking to your buddy at the table with you.

I had to deal with probably 30 high school kids at the Olive Garden the other night who wouldn't shut the fuck up. Two tables had to move, but they wouldn't move us? WTF?

Good point. I think that because people are on their cell's, they automatically have to speak louder. Other wise, if they were speaking at an appropriate level, I(or others) would'nt really know they were on the phone.


Who am I kidding?.....I would still cringe, even if I just saw them on the phone.

I even have a thing against older(8 and up) children, playing with their Nintendo DS, or PSP @ the dinner table. We went to a Japanese Steak house the other night, and there was this kid there(who looked about 14) playing his DS..with the volume all the way up, through the entire meal. He stopped briefly to eat, then back to bleep boop bleep bleep bleep...

that's my fucking mom, she goddamn screams into heres when talking to me. I always have to turn down the volume on my phone lol.

i usually talk quietly and tell them i'll call them back after i get done eating (which means when i am leaving).
