More Lost Society BS! Fake John Legend Concert last night

So I'm chillin with my girls at the Poor Vida show last night (had a blast, thanks PV) when one of them gets a call saying John Legend was at Lost Society. Figured maybe he was out n about after his show or something. So they go flying out of GE to go see him.

Hr or so later I'm pulling up to Billiard Bar and we can here live John Legend songs being sung. I get totally pumped that he might actually be doind some kind of impromptu show n head over. See a guy out front talking up these smu girlies about how he's "with the show tonight" and how if they wanna see the best "John Legend Show" they should come in.

Then I see my girls.....PISSED! Turns out Lost Society was charging 20 bucks at the door for a John Legend Show and once u got inside it was a John Legend impersonator!! What fucking bullshit... they totally did this knowing it was the night he was in town. I've heard of all those fake Beyounce shows in third world countries but I never figured someone would try to pull this shit on Greenville. What a bunch of dicks. They even had the balls to throw it in my girls faces that they never said it was John Legend PREFORMING.

They need to go out of buisness with a quickness....

That should've been a dead giveaway there was no way in someone like that was going to be there. Especially to do the same show he did earlier but for less cash.

Oh, I know.

I saw Prince with Erykah Badu for 4 bucks at Red Jacket years ago but you have to take it with a little bit of caution.

John Legend even being there could be just him jammin on a kazoo or something.

THAT WAS SUCH A GREAT SHOW!!! I got a call @ 2:30am from John Kenyon (owner of Red Jacket) asking me if I could get to the club in 15 min. and when I got there, he walked me into what turned out to be one of the best shows I've ever seen in my entire life.

That's the night Susan & I "officially" got back together. I got the call earlier in the day, headed down to the Jacket around 8pm and waited around for hours. Heard Prince (or "his people", whatever) flipped some stuff at the end & wanted more $$ and the Jacket had to charge a much higher cover later on...and Prince wouldn't come on until he was brought a bottle of chocolate syrup (?). I dunno, just know that I saw Ms. Badu coming down the stairs and I lost my shit hearing her jam with Prince. No hits from Prince, just a nice after-hours style funk & soul jam. One of the best nights of my life, hands down!

yup! He came out (if my memory serves me) singing her single Rolling Stone. The blues, funk, and good music that came later was amazing. They also brought Maceo Parker and Candy Dulfer out as well.
